🏏 LaGrange Cricket Stadium, the first privately owned U.S. cricket venue, is breaking ground this fall as part of Selig Enterprises' 180-acre Sola development. The 10,500-seat stadium can expand to 25,000 capacity and will include a FIFA-regulated soccer field, with completion expected in Q1 2027 to serve cricket's 2.5 billion worldwide fans.
🚶 PATH 400 completed its final major segment in Buckhead, opening a 0.75-mile stretch between Wieuca Road and Loridans Drive featuring an 80-foot-high bridge. The $13.4 million project creates nearly three contiguous miles of greenway with 500 newly planted native trees, enhancing pedestrian and bike connectivity.
🎨 Goat Farm unveiled LOOP, a creative hub transforming the former Randall Brothers Warehouse at Georgia Tech's Creative Quarter development site downtown. 🍽️ Chef Todd Ginsberg and Bloom Roadside founder Josh Kim are opening an unnamed counter-service restaurant in South Downtown by April. The 900-square-foot space will serve all-day breakfast, sandwiches, salads, and Kim's sour cream doughnuts from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with menu highlights including Thai Cobb salad, Korean fried chicken sandwich, and classic diner fare all priced at $12.

💰 Mayor Andre Dickens announced a $5 billion Neighborhood Reinvestment Initiative aimed at bringing opportunity to underserved areas in south and west Atlanta through existing tax allocation districts. The plan includes $1.9 billion for transit, $1.5 billion in trails and greenspace, $1.3 billion in affordable housing, and investments in health centers, small business development, and public infrastructure, with TADs needing extension beyond 2050 for success.
